Here at The Ashmore Cymbal Company, our craft is built on a deep respect for tradition, innovation and uncompromising quality. The MIRAS range, named after the Turkish word for “heritage” embodies this philosophy. Each cymbal begins its journey in Turkey using the highest quality B20 Bronze (Like all Ashmore Cymbals) however, with the MIRAS range, master cymbalsmiths, carrying generations of knowledge, hand-hammer the raw bronze into shape. This meticulous process, refined over centuries gives each piece its unique character and responsive feel.
Once inside our UK workshop, we complete the process, shaping, lathing and fine tuning each cymbal to Ashmores’ exacting specifications. The collaboration between Turkish mastery and our distinctive approach results in instruments that honour tradition while embracing a fresh, modern voice.
